Fashion Goes to the Dogs

The greyhound became part of the logo for Italian fashion house Trussardi in 1973, giving the brand a symbol of agility, elegance, and drive. Now, the sleek canine insignia is the focus of new collection of retro-styled calfskin accessories. The duffle, $1,865 and the carry-all, $1,405, both come in black, brown or natural, and feature embossed greyhounds surrounded by other canine breeds. Trussardi, family-owned since its inception in 1911, enlisted former design director for the Gucci Group, Milan Vukmirovic, to create the bags as part of its new Trussardi 1911 collection, which also includes a men’s fashion line, travel accessories, and footwear.
