Front Runners May 2015: Visionary Design

The new sunglasses and prescription frames from Shamballa Eyewear (slluxurygroup.com) feature black diamonds, darkened metal, and other design elements found in the men’s jewelry offered by sibling brand Shamballa Jewels. The frames are designed by Larry Sands, who previously founded the Matsuda and Chrome Hearts eyewear brands. They are made in Japan and are paired with German-made Zeiss lenses. Frame materials include titanium, sterling silver, and rhodium. Prices range from $995 to as much as $25,000 for gold frames studded with gemstones.
