Louis Vuitton Gets Back to Basics with the New LV Icons Collection

From the three-piece suit to the woolen topcoat, certain items are essential to every man’s wardrobe. Louis Vuitton, which has been designing such essential items since 1854, has introduced a collection dedicated to its most timeless styles. The new LV Icons collection is the brand’s first permanent, seasonless collection of menswear. It comprises more than 40 signature styles, including washed denim jeans ($635–$785), crew-neck knits ($325–$725), a travel suit made from lightweight wool to keep the wearer comfortable and cool ($2,650 for the jacket and $800 for the pants), and a packable nylon trench coat with Damier-printed lining and leather trim ($2,810). The collection, which will be sold year-round, also includes Louis Vuitton’s soft Porte-Documents Voyage briefcase, which was inspired by a travel bag that the brand created in the 1930s. It comes in soft grainy leather and a range of colors ($4,300). Every season, the collection will be refreshed to include new fabrics and colors. (866.884.8866, www.louisvuitton.com)
