Sand Copenhagen Introduces a Color Infusion

This spring, the Danish menswear brand Sand Copenhagen is taking a different direction from its generally subdued color palette by introducing a neon group within its offerings. The collection ($165 to $695) features separates, sport jackets, and waistcoats in bright yellows, cobalt blues, deep oranges, tangerines, and pinks. “I was inspired by the sun-drenched colors and azure sky from the warm Mediterranean beaches along the Amalfi Coast to the islands of Sardinia,” says Soren Sand, the company’s creative director and designer. “Also, the laid-back jet-set life of Sardinia in the 1970s.” The standout item in the group, as well as Sand’s personal favorite, is the Ringo blazer ($595), with its new, slim fit and shorter cut. Sand describes the piece as the “it fit” for the season, geared towards those who want to embrace a slimmer style reminiscent of the 1960s but updated. “This look is smart for a cool young man or a gentleman wanting to have a younger, more modern approach to his wardrobe,” he says. “It can work for any age.” (310.657.5469, www.sandcopenhagen.com)
