Zilli Delivers Performance on the Ski Slopes
Known for its luxurious men’s clothing and accessories, Zilli has developed its first collection of skiwear and skis this winter. The company enlisted the French companies Degré 7 for the skiwear and Lacroix for the skis. The new products combine performance materials and the latest technology with Zilli’s design elements. The stylish black bi-stretch Gore-Tex ski jacket ($17,200) has matte crocodile shoulders and a chinchilla-and-cashmere-blend collar; the pants ($5,400) are made in Schoeller technical fabric that is strong, lightweight, breathable, and virtually impenetrable by rain and snow. To complete the ski outfit, Zilli has also created leather-and-Gore-Tex gloves, cashmere hats, and titanium ski eyewear.
The custom-made skis ($12,600) and poles ($815) are tailored specifically for the skier’s ability and preferences. As part of the package, each client will spend a day on the slopes with Bertrand Roy, CEO of Lacroix skis, who will evaluate the skier’s expertise and give advice on the most appropriate shape, length, and technical specifications. The skis are made in an advanced composite of superposed titanium, carbon, and Kevlar, and they are engraved with the Zilli name in gold on their black face. It takes four to six months to produce the custom skis. (Off-the-shelf skis are available in Zilli stores.) With its broad range of cashmere, fur, leather, and exotic-skin clothes and outerwear, Zilli can also provide everything a man needs for après-ski. (www.zilli.fr)
