Starting from November 3, Sheraton Macao Hotel’s Chefs will launch a series of cooking videos, allowing food lovers to bring the taste of the hotel back to their loved ones at home.

Those with a discerning palate should definitely make a visit to Sheraton Macao Hotel’s three favorite signature restaurants Xin, Feast and Bene. Xin offers classic Chinese dishes such as delicate “Rich Cut” Ibérico Pork Char Siu, Roasted Pork Belly and pungent Wok Fried Wagyu Beef. Guests can also enjoy flavors of the world at Feast with a host of Asian dishes, including Portuguese Seafood Rice, Singapore Chili Crab and Macanese Style Portuguese Chicken. Bene will offer a special menu perfect to enjoy with family and friends; enjoy the evening with Bene’s specialty dishes which are Spaghetti Carbonara, a delectable Wild Mushroom Risotto and a classic Vanilla Panna Cotta.

Now Sheraton Macao Hotel’s guests can even attempt to make some of their restaurant quality dishes at home. A new video lets cooking enthusiasts follow the best chefs at Sheraton Macao Hotel as they demonstrate from preparation to plating, how to cook their signature dishes. Chef Gaetano Palumbo from Bene shows how to cook the all-time favorite pasta dish, Carbonara, in its traditional style using bacon, cheese, cream and finishing off with castelmagno cheese. Chef Gaetano underscores how important great cuisine is: “In Sicily, cooking is a central part of the community and family life. Everyone has a passion for good food and great produce, and learning the art of cooking is just as important as enjoying the pleasure of eating fine food.”

Char siu is without a doubt one of the most popular Chinese dishes. Follow Chef Wee Chee Kiang from Xin as he takes viewers through the making of this classic dish at home, from making the homemade paste from scratch to ensuring a good marinade. “Xin is the ultimate expression of what eating fresh food should be,” says Chef Wee Chee Kiang. “I believe that great food is all about taking the very best and freshest produce and allowing it to shine.”

Reliving the experience of his hometown with heartwarming fare, Chef Miguel Joao de Souza from In Room Dining and Palms will show how to make authentic Portuguese seafood rice. Choosing the freshest seafood from the market, he highlights the delicious aroma as it cooks with the tomato base and rice. Chef Miguel believes incorporating the best of Portuguese cuisine is important to reflect the rich diversity of the Macau culinary experience. “Macanese cuisine reflects the local lifestyle and history of Macau’s Portuguese cuisine,” he says. “I feel a great responsibility to ensure both visitors to Macau and our local population are treated to genuine Portuguese and Macanese food.”
