The Dom Pérignon Lounge at the Bulgari Hotel Milan Is a Champagne Lovers’ Haven

In the heart of Milan, an oasis of greenery is tucked away from the busy streets. The private garden at Bulgari Hotel Milan has been a source of respite for in-the-know parties since the hotel opened in 2004. Now visitors will find a bit of decadence in the garden since the opening of the Dom Pérignon Lounge & Raw Bar. Furnished with sleek black Cassina Contract tables and chairs, the outdoor room serves a range of vintages by the bottle and the glass. The Champagne sommelier can recommend vertical tastings and pair specific vintages with Ostrica Regal oysters or Caviar Calvisius.

Bottles range in price from about $250 for the 2005 to about $8,130 for the 1998 Mathusalem, and the food menu suggests both sweet and savory bites to pair with the bubbly. Marinated tuna carpaccio is served with stracciatella and toasted hazelnuts; raw scallops come with jalapeño sauce and crispy quinoa. For dessert there is a chocolate mousse, as well as a strawberry bavaroise. Several nights a week the lounge hosts live DJ music. (bulgarihotels.com)
