Grab some chips and prepare your taste buds for authentic flavors from south of the border. Every evening at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, a specially trained chef-guacamologist prepares guacamole for hotel guests. In addition to the usual ingredients—avocado, lime, onion, cilantro, salt, and pepper—roasted garlic is added to give the dip a distinct kick. Many of the ingredients are sourced from local Texas farms, ensuring the freshest quality.
In May, the five-star hotel added a Tequila Vault in its main lobby, providing guests with an array of agave spirits to pair with their snacks. The Vault offers a variety of rare, high-end options including mescals and a bottle of Patrón en Lalique—one of only 500 bottles made and valued at more than $7,500. All of the tequilas and mescals will be available to order at the on-site Fearing’s Restaurant Rattlesnake Bar or through tequila servers stationed in the hotel lobby. Each month, a special tequila or mescal cocktail will be showcased at the Vault during and after the guacamologist experience. (ritzcarlton.com)
