The 26,000-square-foot Nobu Doha dishes out a fusion of Japanese and Arabian Gulf delicacies in grand style…

Nobu Doha, the largest Nobu restaurant among its 32 locations worldwide, opened April 17 at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha in Qatar. Set on the Arabian Gulf and wrapped in river stone and bronze, the 26,000-square-foot restaurant spans three circular levels and resembles an exquisite coiled shell in tribute to the region’s famed pearl-diving history. Inside, seven separate dining areas comprise a 134-seat main room, two private dining rooms, two bar lounges, and a 38-seat rooftop venue. Chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa’s recipe for success combines his formal sushi training with a love of travel and global cuisine. A practitioner of new-style Japanese cuisine, his menu includes innovative flavor pairings, such as yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, lobster with wasabi pepper sauce, and black cod miso. To commemorate the restaurant’s opening, Four Seasons Hotel Doha offers the Taste of Nobu package ($1,275), which includes a two-night stay in a premier room, daily breakfast for two, Nobu’s omakase 10-course tasting menu for two, and a Nobu cookbook.
