Château Cordeillan-Bages—a Relais & Châteaux hotel built around a 17th-century manor located just north of central Bordeaux, near the west coast of France—is toasting oenophiles with a special travel package this harvest season. The experience, called To the Harvest, is available from September 15 through October 15 and entails a smorgasbord to delight culinary and viticulture enthusiasts.
Highlights include dinner at the hotel’s Michelin two-star restaurant Château Cordeillan-Bages—where chef Jean-Luc Rocha will prepare local, seasonal dishes such as caviar from the Aquitaine region or foie gras from nearby Les Landes—and a behind-the-scenes tour of the famed Château Lynch-Bages vineyards and winery, which are owned by the same family and have been producing some of the area’s finest wines for almost 200 years (among them the revered Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon blends). Also included in the experience are a 2.5-hour wine-blending course and a bicycle ride through the idyllic vineyards. The two-night To the Harvest package is priced from about $600 per person based on double occupancy. (+220.127.116.11.2424, www.cordeillanbages.com)
