Numanthia 2008 Termanthia

Named for the inhabitants of Numancia who defeated the Romans in the 1st century B.C., Bodega Numanthia Termes produces this 100-percent Tempranillo (Tinto de Toro) from vineyards located on the south bank of the Duero River in the Toro region. Rich and opulent with silky essences of sandalwood, smoke, and ripe red berries, this wine ranks, year in and year out, as one of the best in Spain. ($190)
