Sanderson introduces Smith & Sinclair Sensory Cocktail Pop Up Bar at Purple Bar

(15 November, 2016 – London) – Sanderson, in partnership with Smith & Sinclair, is set to capture the imagination of guests and visitors this winter with the much-anticipated launch of the first sensory cocktail pop up bar at Purple Bar, launching to the public on 18 November, 2016.

Smith & Sinclair, pioneers of ‘adult play’ and known for their edible cocktails, will be transforming the iconic Purple Bar into a mesmerizing space, allowing guests to escape the monotony of the city and enter a world where anything is possible. With a variety of alcoholic concoctions along with an emporium of alcoholic edibles on offer, guests of Purple Bar are invited to eat, drink and shop at Sanderson in a never-seen-before way.

Purple Bar, with its playful furniture and rich jewel tones, is known for its intimate location and whimsical cocktail menu. This exclusive pop up in collaboration with Smith & Sinclair brings an added theatrical element to the bar, where all is not what it may seem; introducing the opportunity to ‘play’ with cocktails, ‘eat your drink’ and take the drinking adventure to new heights. Experiences will include drinking liquids that change in both flavour and colour whilst being served and consumed, scented lollipops that come complete with alcoholic dib dabs, and festive-infused vapours to immediately transport inhalers to a festive time and place.

Launching on 18 November and running until Christmas Eve, 24 December, 2016, Smith & Sinclair at Purple Bar invites guests to come and enjoy an exclusively curated, never-tasted-before cocktail menu alongside Purple Bar’s usual drinks offering. The Smith & Sinclair Shop at Sanderson, The Flavour Room, London is located directly next door to Purple Bar within Sanderson. The pop up shop will be open every day from 12pm until 8pm or later, offering a variety of packaged Smith & Sinclair goodies to take away and enjoy at home, or use as the perfect Christmas stocking filler.

The cocktail menu includes:

Painting the Roses

Red Tequila, Campari, Lime, Clementine Juice, Agave, Hibiscus, Chili and Ginger Ale

Paying tribute to Sanderson’s take on an Alice in Wonderland theme, the holiday classic Tequila Sunrise is given a Queen of Hearts makeover served with an edible playing card

Violet You’re Turning Violet

Gin, Maraschino Liqueur, Triple Sec, Violet Liqueur

Bringing back memories of Parma violets, don’t let your eyes deceive you with this playful twist on an Aviation that changes colour

Summer Leftovers

Vodka, St Germain, Triple Sec, Lemon, Aperol

The last tastes of summer are captured in a burst of fruit and floral, served with an edible perfume pairing for “sweetening”to taste

Rose Gold

Gin, Rosé, Campari, ‘Gold’ (edible shimmer)

A sweet and tart Negroni infused with liquid glitter and served over a chunk of ice and with a scented rose gold lollipop

Thyme for Tea

Whisky, Jasmine, Lillette, Citrus, Prosecco

​Served from a signature tea pot is a sweet and refreshing jasmine nectar and citrus-infused whisky, topped with a touch of bubbly, slowly infused with Lapsang Souchong, ice thyme and sage

All Smith & Sinclair cocktails are priced at £18 each. Special cocktail packages are available for two people, with three categories to choose from: Early Bird Package (£65 for two people including two cocktails each); Come to Play (£90 for two people including two cocktails each plus canapés) and The Full Experience (£150 for two people including two cocktails each plus a glass of champagne and dinner in the restaurant at Sanderson).

Pastille Pick ‘n’ Mix

Mix and match a selection of Smith & Sinclair’s trademark cocktail pastilles across 12 flavours including Gin & Tonic and Whisky Sour Challenging all previous perceptions of how alcohol should be consumed, Smith & Sinclair deconstruct cocktails into weird and wonderful creations and curate extraordinary experiences. Sanderson, located moments away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, is a luxurious dream-like world, waiting to be explored.
