Art Basel Miami Beach: Driving Force

  • Samantha Brooks

Car companies joined the action at Art Basel, with Maserati debuting its new Ghibli (from $66,900) and offering its cars as the official escorts for VIP attendees of the fair. Ferrari teamed with the New York gallery Venus Over Manhattan to host the exhibit Piston Head: Artists Engage the Automobile, in which 14 artists transformed cars into sculptures. Jaguar sponsored an exhibit featuring collaborations between the car brand and five noted designers. Audi was an official sponsor of Design Miami, where it displayed its current models. Meanwhile, Bentley previewed items from its 25-piece furniture collection (from $490) with Fendi Casa. www.maseratighibli.us; venusovermanhattan.com; www.jaguarusa.com; www.audiusa.com; www.fendi.com
