Divine Deco

Six years in the making, this 7,000-square-foot home in London’s upscale Chelsea neighborhood combines Art Deco–inspired elements with such modern touches as high-tech automated doors and state-of-the-art cooling systems. The London-based firm SHH Architects executed the homeowners’ request for something “luxurious but homey” with rich, textural wall coverings, bespoke furnishings, and stone. The resulting residence includes four bedrooms; an expansive main living and dining area with outdoor access; and a sophisticated but relaxed theater.
