Fantasy Island

As seen in the May/June 2014 issue of Robb Report Home & Style, St. Barts offers a range of expansive private homes to rent. However, for those who prefer the accommodations of a home but the amenities and services of a hotel, the following properties offer the best of both worlds.

Villa Rockstar
One of the best homes on the island happens to be owned by a hotel. The four-bedroom, 16,000-square-foot villa is on St. Jean beach—making it one of the few beachfront homes available for rent on the island—adjacent to Eden Rock-St Barths and it has its own gym and a subterranean level with a movie theater and recording studio. The home has a pool, hot tub, and lounging deck for private use. From $15,000 per night. (www.edenrockvillarental.com

Flamands Villa
Two villas at the LVMH-owned Isle de France resort on Flamands beach each have 4,300 square feet, and each offers three bedrooms, a kitchen, and expansive living areas. Direct beach access and private plunge pools are also included. From $7,600 per night. (www.isle-de-france.com)

La Villa
Le Toiny’s three-bedroom layout separates the villa’s master bedroom from the two smaller bedrooms, each of which occupies an individual bungalow. Though not on the beach, the villa offers 5,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor space with its own pool and rugged ocean views. From about $1,920 per night. (www.letoiny.com)
