Great Escapes: Carribbean and Mediterranean

<< Back to Home & Style, March 2014

Launched in 2012, Kanga is the first hull in Wally’s new Ace line of displacement motor yachts. The 85-foot vessel combines the clean and unconventional styling that the Monaco builder is known for with quiet, stable, and relatively fuel-efficient operation. With its wide-open spaces, Kanga also provides more room to spread out than most yachts of comparable length. As many as 10 guests can be accommodated in four cabins—two of which open onto a terrace—while two additional cabins can house four crew members. A 64-square-foot teak sundeck hovers over the superstructure, which is ringed by large windows that allow the interior to segue into an expansive main deck. Kanga’s galley is fitted with Miele appliances, and each cabin comes with a Samsung television equipped with Apple TV. Guests will also find a host of water-based entertainment options, thanks to Kanga’s 20-foot tender, water skis, and wakeboard.
