Occupying the entire top floor of the eight-story Regina Hotel Baglioni, the new 6,028-square-foot penthouse offers guests a residential oasis in the heart of the Eternal City. The Milan-based architecture firm Rebosio+Spagnulo spent five months constructing the unit, which includes three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, a formal dining room, and two living rooms—all in a style that combines contemporary Italian furnishings with traditional Roman architectural details, such as carved columns and marble floors. However, the most alluring aspect of the accommodation may be its 3,122 square feet of private terraces: Among these spaces is an east-facing patio with a chromotherapy hot tub that overlooks the Villa Borghese gardens, and a west-facing sundeck off the master bedroom that looks out toward the city and the Spanish Steps and has a garden and its own gym. A private chef, a barman, a dedicated concierge, and a butler tend to the needs of guests, who have access to all of the hotel’s amenities. Those staying three nights or more can take a private, 3-hour tour of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums.

Rates: from $18,575 nightly. Contact: Regina Hotel Baglioni, +39.6.454.02200, romanpenthouse.baglionihotels.com
