Hour Hands

Homepolish takes a time-based approach to delivering top-notch interiors.

If Homepolish began as an interior design service for the budget-conscious, it has since captured the attention of affluent clients, too. “Just because you have a lot of money doesn’t mean you to want to spend it all,” says Noa Santos, cofounder of Homepolish (917.426.1841, www.homepolish.com), which partners with up-and-coming designers whose talents are meted out to projects on an hourly basis. The service is available in a handful of U.S. cities—including New York City (company headquarters), Los Angeles, and San Francisco—where clients start with an in-home, hour-long consultation and might end up furnishing a living room (Los Angeles space shown), reconstructing a kitchen, or refurbishing an entire house. “We’ve lately been getting a lot of corporate clients, as well as bachelors with $4 million SoHo lofts,” says Santos. “It’s evolved to something that’s not about budget; it’s about lifestyle. The whole experience is very personal and customized—not to mention completely transparent.”
