A Penthouse with a Ghost

  • Amanda Millin

Starting this month, guests of 45 Park Lane’s rooftop Penthouse Suite will receive the keys to a 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith for a half-day joyride. The turbocharged 12-cylinder, 624 hp Wraith—the fastest and most powerful Rolls Royce ever—is arguably the British marque’s most stylish model to date. Touting an athletic silhouette inspired by Italy’s 1950 Lancia Aurelia and 1967 Maserati Ghibli, the $285,000 fastback coupe is meant to appeal to drivers both youthful and sophisticated. As such, the Wraith pairs well with the new and elegant Thierry Despont–designed penthouse, which combines cerused mahogany and suede accents; custom-made furnishings in leather and silk velvet; and sweeping views of Hyde Park and London’s skyline. The 1,755-square-foot penthouse is priced at about $11,500 per night.
