Robb Report launches the new publication Robb Report Home & Style at a private event in Los Angeles
In early June, at a private residence in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, the actors and real-estate business partners Jeremy Renner and Kristoffer Winters hosted nearly 300 interior designers, architects, local luminaries, media members, and VIP Robb Report readers to celebrate the launch of the luxury-lifestyle magazine’s new shelter publication, Robb Report Home & Style. The roughly 10,000-square-foot home, which the editors of Robb Report Home & Style included in the publication’s debut issue, features an art-deco-influenced design and served as the ideal venue for the event. With 1920s-era decor, a La Cornue range, and contemporary furnishings from such brands as Ralph Lauren, Nancy Corzine, and Christian Liaigre, the home impressed guests who toured its six bedrooms, 11 baths, and home theater, among other spaces. The event’s sponsor, LG Electronics (www.lg.com), displayed a number of its televisions throughout the home, including several examples of its new 84-inch Ultra HD 4K TV (www.lg.com/us/ultrahdtv/index.jsp), priced at $20,000. The event’s guests were enamored of the stunning ultra high-definition picture of the LG TVs, featuring four times the resolution of 1080p high-definition.
In the home’s backyard, the guitarist Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, formerly of the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan, provided the evening’s entertainment, along with the keyboardist Teddy “Zig Zag” Andreadis, of Guns N’ Roses fame.
“This home is really classic,” noted the interior designer Stacey Cohen, “but it has a sexy rock vibe. I don’t know if it’s just because of Jeremy Renner, but a party needs to happen here.” Though the evening was scheduled to end promptly at 9:30 pm, the hosts encouraged guests to stay well into the night.
