Self-made billionaire, Giorgio Armani has built an empire that extends from fashion, including his namesake menswear label, to beauty and home furnishings. The latter category, under the Armani/Casa brand, is as widely known as the designer’s casually glamorous clothing, thanks to a host of showrooms worldwide. Though the flagship in Milan may seem the most fitting place to shop the native Italian’s furnishings, his stores in São Paulo and Dubai offer the same immersive experience. His products run the gamut—sofas and case goods, lighting and tableware, beds and bedding. And then there are Armani/Casa’s partnerships: kitchens with Molteni and wall coverings with Jannelli & Volpi, to name just two. Yet, as Armani is quick to point out, his privately held Armani Group is about more than products; it puzzles out a lifestyle, with distinctive pieces, certainly, but also through interior design services and even turnkey residences, which are breaking ground in settings such as Miami and Manila. With so much going on, Armani still found time to speak with Robb Report Home & Style about the many facets of his well-designed world.
