Taking a Dip

  • Samantha Brooks

The new Bikini Island line, conceived by the German designer Werner Aisslinger for the Italian company Moroso, features sculptural chairs that appear as though they were dip-dyed, and a modular furniture system. The Bikini chair is available in shades that fade from yellow to seafoam, from green to blue, and from gray to red, while the furniture system offers a puzzlelike collection of sofas, tables, and shelving that can be pieced together in various ways. The collection just debuted at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan (April 9 to 14) and is expected to be available for ordering through Moroso shortly. At press time pricing had not been determined.
