With its friendly, unintimidating atmosphere, the Manhattan boutique Doyle & Doyle—which sells vintage and antique jewelry and is owned by the sisters Pam and Elizabeth Doyle—has cultivated a loyal following from the moment it opened its doors in 2000. Now, having relocated from the Lower East Side to a new location—with triple the space—in New York’s Meatpacking District, it is giving clients even more opportunities to find a one-of-a-kind jewel.

The lavish new boutique features a wrought iron vestibule based on the design of the Crystal Palace, the London venue that hosted the Great Exhibition of 1851. Gallerylike displays house artfully placed jewelry. Each, according to Elizabeth Doyle, contains “pieces from different time periods and prices to help customers understand how they can mix and match the jewelry to make it their own.”

Georgian diamond rivière necklaces reside next to Edwardian aquamarine earrings and art deco engagement rings, with prices beginning under $200 and reaching over $100,000. Beyond vintage finds, the boutique features a collection created in-house, Heirloom by Doyle & Doyle, which comprises new designs inspired by antique jewels.

The expanded space means more room to host events, too. Beginning in February 2014, Doyle & Doyle will host the Vault Series, educational shopping events featuring curated jewelry collections focused on a single theme. It’s another way to emphasize the special legacy of vintage jewelry. “There’s a story behind every piece,” says Doyle, “and that story continues with a new owner.” (212.677.9991, www.doyledoyle.com)
