Located in north-central Arizona amid world-famous red rock formations, L’Auberge de Sedona now offers a program to help guests connect with the local wilderness. Launched earlier this year as part of the new L’Apothecary spa menu, the Connecting With Nature forest bathing program (from $150 per person) provides an energizing guided tour that can range from 60 to 90 minutes and explores the resort’s scenic surroundings. “The purpose of forest bathing is to allow the guests to be present and to become aware of the beauty that surrounds them,” explains spa director Catherine Powers. “The facilitator engages guests with a series of ‘invitations’ that allow them to focus on one of their senses,” such as the sound of a waterfall or a birdcall. “It allows guests to be present in the moment and to let their stress and worries melt away.” A private tour can be arranged, and group sessions can accommodate up to 10 guests. »lauberge.com
