21 Ultimate Gifts: Private Pebble

If your ability to schedule a tee time at Pebble Beach would make the other members of your regular foursome envious, consider what their reactions would be if you told them that you had reserved the entire Golf Links course for part of a day (as well as the Spyglass Hill and Links at Spanish Bay courses for parts of the preceding two days)—and that they and 20 of your other golf buddies were welcome to join you. Pebble Beach is offering a Robb Report reader a four-day, three-round private tournament for a party of 24. The plane will depart from either New York or Los Angeles for Monterey.

Upon arrival at Casa Palmero, Pebble Beach Resorts’ historic, Mediterranean-style estate that will host the group during the four-day stay, each golfer will receive a set of custom Callaway golf clubs and a Pebble Beach Collection leather windbreaker. Laird Small, Pebble Beach Golf Academy director and 2003 PGA Teacher of the Year, will conduct a half-day lesson for the players before leading them to the course to commence tournament play. The first round will take place at Spyglass Hill Golf Course, the second at the Links at Spanish Bay on the following day, and the final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links on the third day of the retreat. The group will enjoy exclusive access to each course on the day of play.

Between rounds, golfers can enjoy golf-oriented treatments at the Spa at Pebble Beach and dining at Casa Palmero, the Pèppoli private dining room, and Club XIX.

Everyone wins in this tournament. The fourth and final day is set aside for more spa treatments and for the awarding of the prizes. Each of the 24 players will leave with a 2005 Lexus SC; both the winner and host will depart with a 2005 Lexus SC Pebble Beach Edition.

Price: Starting at $1.9 million. Contact: 831.647.7500, www.pebblebeach.com. This offer is limited to one Robb Report reader and is subject to room and prize availability. Transportation to and from the departure point is not included, nor is the cost of shipping the 24 cars to their new owners’ homes.
