Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina to Debut in St. Lucia

The Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina is debuting on August 15 after a multimillion-dollar renovation. Capella took over Discovery Hotels and Resorts’ St. Lucia property nearly a year ago, establishing its first Caribbean location. OBM International’s modern redesign of the three-level property pays homage to the island by incorporating the surrounding tropical greenery and highlighting the neighboring Marigot Bay, using accents of turquoise, coral, and green in an otherwise neutral color palette to draw on the Caribbean aesthetic.

Capella is also introducing to Marigot Bay its award-winning Auriga spa, which uses indigenous herbs and local customs in its treatments. Tucked in tree houses, the spa features signature treatments inspired by the four phases of the lunar cycle. The property also features a full-service marina, which can accommodate most yachts for temporary or long-term visits. Other features include two freshwater infinity pools, three restaurants, a refurbished fitness center with a roof deck, a Zen garden, the Marina Village high-end marketplace, and an all-new Rum Cave that houses aged blends from local distillers.

Stays in the resort’s 124 rooms and bay-view balcony suites start at $450 per night. (877.384.8037, www.capellamarigotbay.com)
