For Abercrombie & Kent’s latest offering, Around the World with Geoffrey Kent by Private Jet: The Tropics to the Arctic, an exclusive group of 50 travelers will join the luxury-travel pioneer Geoffrey Kent (no stranger to extravagant around-the-world excursions) for a one-of-a-kind monthlong journey to some of the world’s most fascinating and remote destinations. The 26-day, nine-country adventure ($135,000 per person, double occupancy) will take place from May 1 through 26, 2016, with guests transported between destinations aboard a privately chartered Boeing 757 outfitted with 50 lie-flat, first-class seats.

The first stop of the trip is Cartagena, Colombia, where travelers will view performances by local dance troupes and have an opportunity to shop at the city’s street markets. Other highlights include a visit to a pearl farm in French Polynesia, a paleontologist-led expedition to find dinosaur eggs on the rugged steppes of Mongolia, and a private viewing of the riches of the Russian tsars in St. Petersburg. The itinerary ends in Greenland, above the Arctic Circle, where guests can explore glaciers and look for humpback whales under 24-hour daylight. (abercrombiekent.com)
