From the sun-soaked beaches of Southern California to the sky-high peaks of British Columbia, these four sports programs offered by various Four Seasons resorts call in pro athletes and experts to provide unforgettable activities for athletic travelers.

The Olympic gold medalist Todd Rogers will take your beach-volleyball game from casual to competitive through a series of training activities and matchups, in which he can serve as your teammate or opponent. After Rogers shares his tips on the East Beach volleyball courts, guests of the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara will replenish with a beach picnic. This experience is available year-round, dependent on Rogers’s schedule. ($1,500 for two people; 805.565.8291, www.fourseasons.com/santabarbara)

The Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa’s exclusive new surfing safari whisks guests away on a seaplane in search of the area’s most exclusive surf breaks. The experience is led by a team of expert guides from the resort’s Tropicsurf company, who will accompany participants as they seek out these secluded locations for an unforgettable day of private surfing in the Indian Ocean. This program is offered year-round but prime surf season is April through September. (From $9,500 for up to eight people; +960.66.00.888, www.fourseasons.com/maldiveskh)

Golfers seeking a challenge can try their luck at the Robert Trent Jones II–designed course at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis in the Caribbean. Situated near a volcano and overlooking the vibrant blue waters of the sea, this dynamic course features a dramatic 20-story drop at the 15th hole—as well as sightings of green vervet monkeys. (From $150 per person per round; 869.469.1111, www.fourseasons.com/nevis)

The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, in British Columbia, Canada, has introduced the new Glacier Tee-Off program in which participants complete a round on one of three championship courses in Whistler then, on the 18th green, meet with a PGA professional. The golf pro and the guests will then board a private helicopter and fly 8,000 feet up to the 19th Hole, located on the glacier. Servers will provide appetizers and cocktails, and when it is tee time, guests will receive professional advice on their form and swing. This program is available through October 15. ($5,635 for four people; 604.935.3400, www.fourseasons.com/whistler)
