The Ritz London (+44. 20.7493.8181, www.theritzlondon.com) can take care of all your holiday planning this year with its Christmas Programme, which runs from December 23 through 26. It includes theater tickets and a post-theater supper at the Palm Court on the 23rd, a black-tie gala on Christmas Eve, and the option to attend midnight service at Guards Chapel in the Wellington Barracks. Christmas Day is devoted to eating, with a full English breakfast, five-course luncheon, and four-course dinner, interspersed with a visit from Father Christmas and time allotted in the afternoon to listen to the annual Christ-mas message from Her Majesty the Queen. The Boxing Day lunch menu includes roast goose, and a magician will entertain—perhaps one who is talented enough to make the extra pounds disappear. The price for the three-day revelry is £1,435 ($2,390) per person.

For New Year’s, the hotel will host black-tie dinner dances at both the Ritz Restaurant and the Palm Court on December 31. A piper will herald the turn of the clock, followed by midnight fireworks.
