For two weeks this November, Hasselblad—the camera company that facilitated the most famous image ever taken of our planet, The Blue Marble—is offering a more intimate encounter with a specific section of the world. Through its Hasselblad Xcursions program, the company is presenting Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia: A Photographer’s Journey through Southeast Asia. This voyage for a small group (up to eight or 12) will travel through the three countries, stopping at luxury and boutique lodgings between cultural, social, and photographic opportunities that will create the memories to accompany your digital souvenirs.

The tour (from $11,900) will be led by Tim Gerard Barker, an award-winning photographer based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Barker and the tour crew will acquaint guests with a wide array of Hasselblad’s lineup of lenses and most current camera gear—including the H5D-50c, the world’s first 50-megapixel medium-format camera with a CMOS image sensor—and will help them improve their skills.

Accommodations include the Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; La Résidence in Hue, Vietnam; and the Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Among ventures to UNESCO World Heritage Sites in all three countries—including the famous Angkor Wat temple complex—travelers will also visit the 1,000-year-old Vietnamese capital of Hanoi and cruise Vietnam’s picturesque Halong Bay and a stretch of the Mekong River leading to the ancient Laotian city of Luang Prabang.

All this, and you’ll still be back stateside for Thanksgiving, with a whole clutch of new experiences to be thankful for. (www.hasselbladusa.com)
