Hotel Arts Barcelona Announces Vintage Car Excursions

Hotel Arts Barcelona is giving guests the chance to explore Spain’s Costa Brava and nearby villages in their choice of a 1986 Rolls-Royce Corniche II Cabrio, a 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, a 1963 Bentley S3 Continental, or a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Cabrio. Guests who book the hotel’s Vintage Car Excursions (from about $1,100 for a half-day) will be picked up in their chosen car and taken on a chauffeur-driven tour of, for instance, the hills of Mount Collserola, where they can visit the famous Labyrinth of Horta and eat lunch overlooking the coastline before taking a sunset cruise on the harbor.

The itineraries can be customized to suit guests’ interests. Art lovers can spend the day stopping at Gaudí’s famed Sagrada Familia church, the Park Güell overlooking Barcelona, and the home of the late Salvador Dalí in Cadaqués. The tour can continue outside the city to the nearby town of Figueres to visit the Dalí Theater Museum and conclude with dinner at the Michelin two-star restaurant Miramar in Llança. Alternatively, oenophiles can take a ride out to the surrounding vineyards, beginning with Alta Alella, just 20 minutes from the city center, and proceeding to the Catalan vineyards of Cava Recaredo or Castillo de Perelada. Guests can add on additional stops for shopping, dining, and activities; all itineraries come with a catered picnic prepared by the hotel. (+34.93.551.3000, www.hotelartsbarcelona.com)
