Incredible Insider Getaways Featuring the Wines of Bernard Magrez

  • The Bernard Magrez Luxury Wine Experience (about $2,000 to $6,200 for two), is a series of getaways exploring his Grands Crus Classés châteaux and other pleasures of the region.

At the end of 2014, vintner Bernard Magrez opened La Grande Maison, a splendid hotel and restaurant in Bordeaux, in partnership with his friend, the Michelin-decorated chef Joël Robuchon. Now Magrez is inviting guests a little further into his world with the Bernard Magrez Luxury Wine Experience (about $2,000 to $6,200 for two, luxurywineexperience.com), a series of getaways exploring his Grands Crus Classés châteaux and other pleasures of the region. For example, the three-day “adventure of a lifetime” includes dinner at Joël Robuchon, a helicopter tour of Bordeaux’s appellations, a private tasting at Château La Tour Carnet, lunch at Château Fombrauge, and a wine-blending workshop and private dinner at Château Pape Clément. Custom itineraries are also available.
