This summer, the Mandarin Oriental, New York, unveils 42 newly redesigned one- and two-bedroom suites. All suites sit at the corners of the building, offering sweeping views of either Central Park, the Hudson River, or the Manhattan skyline from the hotel’s Columbus Circle location. Interiors are designed by HOK in one of three themes and color palettes inspired by the city and the view from each one-bedroom suite: the New York Sunrise, New York Dusk, or New York Nights (from $1,800; the New York Suite is also available with two bedrooms, from $3,795). The suites also feature art displays curated by Rare Culture that showcase works from up-and-coming New York–based and New York–inspired artists.

All 42 suites boast custom-designed furniture including teardrop-shaped dining tables, made from ebonized walnut, and curved sofas perfectly placed to admire the city views in comfort. In the bedrooms, beds with tufted upholstery face the panoramic windows, and the master baths feature rain showers and large soaking tubs.

The Mandarin Oriental, New York, sits at the southwest corner of Central Park, minutes from Carnegie Hall and Broadway. Guests should not miss an indulgent repast at Asiate, where they can pair dishes like Waygu beef tenderloin and seared Hudson Valley fois gras with wines from the restaurant’s 3,000-bottle collection. And a relaxing massage or treatment is a must at the 14,500-square-foot Mandarin Oriental Spa. (mandarinoriental.com)
