Private Preview 2005: Atoll Order

<< Back to Robb Report, October 2004

A soaking tub in one of the tree houses at the Shangri-La Maldives Resort & Spa on Villingilli Island will provide the perfect vantage point from which to contemplate the horizon beyond the open waters of the Indian Ocean. When the resort opens in April 2005, it will also offer seclusion in the form of bungalows set on stilts in the ocean, and the opportunity for hours of lounging by one of the island villas’ private plunge pools. If one of these three accommodation options is not enough to put a guest at ease, there also will be the innovative treatments offered by Shangri-La’s Chi Spa. Those seeking a less sedentary experience will be able to enjoy water activities, including scuba diving on the Addu Atoll’s coral reef. The airport on nearby Gan Island is just a 5-minute speedboat ride away.
