The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, Celebrates Its 25th with New Experiential Packages
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, is throwing a series of five extravagant experiences that immerse guests in the magic and romance of “the City by the Bay.” The first experience launches in April and is timed to coincide with the anniversary. (The four other packages will be unveiled throughout the year.)
The first package, the Ultimate Food & Wine package (available exclusively in April for $25,000), takes guests through a series of experiences in Northern California’s storied wine region, including: a two-night stay in the palatial Presidential Suite, a private hot-air-balloon ride in Napa Valley, and a “wine flight” tasting in the JCB Tasting Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton—paired with a special amuse-bouche tasting experience by chef Michael Rotondo of the on-site restaurant Parallel 37. During their stay, guests also will be whisked away on a private helicopter ride to Raymond Vineyards in Napa, where they will partner with winemaker Jean-Charles Boisset to create their own custom wine label. The legendary winemaker guides guests as they select the varietals, flavor profile, name, and label design for the wine, which will then be shipped to them in 2017. To cap off the trip, guests participate in an abalone-diving excursion off the Pacific Coast, followed by a private dinner with chef Rotondo that will include the day’s fresh catch of abalone.
