Upon arrival in Geneva, members of the Robb Report Club were transported to Switzerland’s iconic Gstaad Palace hotel, which opened in 1913 as Gstaad’s first luxury property and is now a member of Leading Hotels of the World. It is perched on a hill above town, offering postcard-worthy mountain vistas, and in close proximity to Gstaad’s 137 miles of pristine slopes. Activities during the trip included skiing, sleigh rides, treatments at the hotel’s expansive spa, and exploring the local village art galleries and restaurants. At the end of each day in Gstaad, the hotel’s lively Lobby Bar served as an ideal spot to unwind.

After five days in Gstaad, the group made the two-hour journey to the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, which is within walking distance of Lake Geneva and its iconic Jet d’Eau, as well as St. Pierre’s Cathedral and the United Nations building.

On their first day in Geneva, Robb Report Club members visited the Montres DeWitt headquarters and the DeWitt Museum in the city’s Satigny district. Opened by the company’s founder, Jérôme de Witt—a direct descendent of Napoléon Bonaparte—the museum houses a vast collection of horology tools and precision instruments dating from the 18th century. Following a private tour of the factory, where artisans painstakingly labored over every timepiece, guests dined at the private residence of Jérôme and Viviane de Witt.

The final day of the trip was spent on a private tour of the Franck Muller atelier. Aptly named Watchland, the facility occupies a century-old mansion on the shores of Lake Geneva. The tour provided rare insight into the creative process of one of the world’s premier watchmakers. This unforgettable trip culminated in an intimate dinner in Muller’s home.
