The Saint Hotel in New Orleans Debuts Luxury Suites

The Saint Hotel in New Orleans’s French Quarter has debuted five new luxury suites, each named for an angel (one fallen) or saint: Michael, Christopher, Gabriel, Raphael, and Lucifer. Their interiors—designed by one of the hotel’s co-owners, Mark Wyant, and his wife, Lorenda Wyant—feature Egyptian-cotton bedding, iPod-compatible Bose Wave sound systems, and 60-inch televisions. The Christopher, Gabriel, and Raphael Suites range from 1,200 to 1,500 square feet and start at $679 per night. The two largest suites, named for the archangels Michael and Lucifer, span approximately 1,800 square feet and start at $3,179 and $2,479 per night, respectively.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom Archangel Michael Suite’s 10 floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Canal Street and have custom window shades printed with 6-foot-tall portraits of saints and angels. The suite’s interior boasts a heavenly color palette, with cobalt-blue floors, sky-blue ceilings, blue LED lighting, a blue Murano-glass chandelier, and white furniture. By contrast, the Archangel Lucifer Suite centers on a color scheme of blacks and reds—black Carrara marble in the bathroom, a black claw-foot bathtub, a black Murano-glass chandelier, and red LED lighting—and is appointed with antique Victorian furniture. Guests feeling a bit wicked can take to the suite’s small private stage, which is spotlighted by a sparkling mirrored light fixture and outfitted with a dance pole.
