Castello di Casole—a 10th-century castle-turned-hotel set in the Tuscan countryside—opened on July 1. Located 45 minutes outside Florence, the 4,200-acre private estate features the 41-suite hotel (rates start at $800 per night), as well as vineyards, olive groves, lemon orchards, and a game reserve. The hotel has two restaurants, a bar, a spa, an infinity pool, a chapel, an amphitheater, and a courtyard. On-site activities include horseback riding, olive oil and wine tastings, mushroom foraging, truffle hunting, Italian cooking and language classes, and bocce.
