Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts opened its latest location in Syon Park, London, a 200-acre parkland 10 miles outside central London that was home to the Duke of Northumberland for more than 400 years, on March 14. London Syon Park, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel has 137 rooms and suites, which range from about $420 to $3,250 per night, a spa, and five dining venues. Among them is Capability, noted for various services such as providing a picnic in the park or a meal in the hotel greenhouse. The restaurant offers a menu of rustic seasonal dishes featuring local and homegrown ingredients from the hotel garden, as well as a wine room, humidor, and cigar terrace. Activities at the expansive estate include visiting the butterfly atrium, fishing, walking along nature trails, playing croquet, and bicycling. (+44.20.7870.7777, www.londonsyonpark.com)
