Sneak Peek: Oak Bay Beach Hotel, Victoria, British Columbia

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, B.C., reopened on November 15, following a six-year effort to rebuild the original waterfront property, which first opened in 1927. The new English manor–style hotel features 100 rooms and suites spread across six floors, which are available for stay (from about $180 per night) and to purchase (from about $350,000 each); as well as 20 private residences (from about $1 million each). A spa, restaurant, and seaside pools are also new; while the hotel’s famous dinner theater program and the Snug Pub—which became Victoria’s first bar in the 1940s—have been preserved along with furniture and artwork from the original hotel.
