Sneak Peek: The Ranch at Emerald Valley, Pike National Forest, Colorado

  • The Ranch at Emerald Valley

The Broadmoor opened a secluded sister property, the Ranch at Emerald Valley, less than 10 miles from its main grounds in the mountains of the Pike National Forest in Colorado. The property is open seasonally through October and will reopen for 2014 in May. It comprises a main lodge with a dining room, a bar, two lakeside hot tubs, and a wood-burning fire pit, as well as 10 cabins that sleep from two to 10 guests each (from $435 per person per night). Activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, fly-fishing, canoeing, and twice-weekly cookouts. The Ranch can also arrange river rafting, hot-air-balloon rides, golf, excursions to Colorado Springs, and spa treatments at the Broadmoor. (800.755.5088, www.broadmoor.com/ranch-emerald-valley)
