The Resort at Isla Palenque has opened on a 400-acre private island off the coast of Panama in the Gulf of Chiriqui. The property currently has six rooms and will be opening 10 tented suites this year. Wellness is an integral part of the resort’s experience, with offerings of yoga and other fitness classes and various spa treatments. The jungle island also has a 220-acre nature preserve, miles of hiking trails, and over 20 guided tours and expeditions. Other amenities include a waterfall pool and two restaurants, Eden and Las Rocas, offering a modern take on traditional regional fare made with produce from the resort’s organic farm.
