Sneak Peek: Tierra Patagonia, Chile

Tierra Patagonia, the sister property to Tierra Atacama, opened on December 20 on the shores of Lake Sarmiento. The property features 37 rooms, three two-story suites, and five apartments that sleep up to six people (rates are from $1,950 per person for three nights), all of which overlook Torres del Paine National Park. There is a spa, an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, as well as a restaurant that serves local cuisine and hosts traditional Patagonian barbecues. Activities include hiking, horseback riding, and trips to nearby glaciers, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. (800.829.5325, www.tierrapatagonia.com)
