The Weekapaug Inn reopened in October after being closed for five years, with 27 guest rooms and four suites all designed in classic New England style. Under new management, the property in Weekapaug, R.I., overlooks Quonochontaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean and has a newly built fitness and wellness center, a restaurant that specializes in classic regional fare, and a private beach. Activities include environmental tours led by an on-site naturalist, as well as complimentary resort cooking classes and cultural events. Rates start at $190 a night during the off-season.
