The Wellesley, a 1920s townhouse turned hotel, opened on December 14 in London’s Knightsbridge section. The six-floor building features 36 rooms and suites priced from $630 per night (through March 2013), including a penthouse-level presidential suite overlooking Hyde Park, with four bedrooms, a boardroom, and a personal cigar selection. The hotel houses an Italian restaurant, a bar, and a jazz room that hosts nightly performances and afternoon tea. Guests also have access to the Wellesley’s cigar lounge, which has an expansive collection of limited-edition cigars and a private heated terrace to enjoy them on year-round.
