Solage Calistoga Lets Guests Explore Napa’s Vineyards from New Heights

Jessaca Brandt

Solage Calistoga Napa Valley is giving guests a bird’s-eye view of nearby Napa wineries—which include Château Montelena, Phifer Pavitt, Kenefick Ranch Vineyards and Winery, Kelly Fleming Wines, and Fisher Vineyards—as a part of a new helicopter-tour-and-dining package (starting at $1,540). Two guests will take a helicopter ride and land atop Spring Mountain, where they will take a tour of the latter vineyard, led by a member of the Fisher family. Afterward, Solage Calistoga’s Michelin-starred executive chef Brandon Sharp will prepare a private lunch at the winery; dishes will include fresh seasonal greens and grilled peaches with sweet corn and a ricotta-and-pine-nut salata, and grass-fed skirt steak with romesco sauce and fingerling potatoes. They will be paired with small-release wines, including the 2010 Mountain Estate Vineyard Chardonnay and 2009 Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon. (866.942.7442, www.solagecalistoga.com)
