Tour Southeast Asia and Japan from the Comfort of a Private Jet
When Remote Lands and Amanresorts joined forces to offer their inaugural private jet tour in October 2015, the trip booked up immediately; so the boutique travel agency and exclusive resort chain recently announced an encore journey, slated for March 6 through 20, 2016. With space for 16 guests aboard a pair of Gulfstream G200 private jets (approximately $59,000 per person), the trip begins with a flight from Bangkok, Thailand, to the Amanoi hotel in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam—guests stay at Amanresorts properties during each of the journey’s five stops—where the itinerary includes soothing spa treatments, private tours of local fishing villages, and hiking in the lush jungles of Nui Chua National Park.
Located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang, Laos, the Amantaka resort is a French-colonial estate with vast gardens, while Aman Tokyo, the resort chain’s newest property, occupies the top six floors of Otemachi Tower, offering unparalleled views of Japan’s ultramodern metropolis. Also at each stop, guests are provided with a private car, driver, and guide. Unique tours are also available to the guests, such as a private helicopter tour and picnic lunch at Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, and the chance to visit sumo wrestlers as they practice the sport in their Tokyo homes.
