A normal cruise speed of 528 mph makes the Gulfstream G150 (912.965.3000, www.gulfstream.com) one of the fastest midsize jets. With four passengers aboard, the aircraft can travel nearly 3,000 miles nonstop at that speed. Its cruise ceiling is 45,000 feet—well above most weather and commercial traffic. The Gulfstream’s Honeywell engines each provide 4,420 pounds of thrust, which enables the $15 million aircraft to take off in hot weather, even at high altitudes. The jet’s cabin seats as many as eight passengers and offers 25 cubic feet of storage space. An additional heated external storage area measures 55 cubic feet, which is more than enough room to accommodate seven golf bags.
