Cessna Citation X

The Citation X has long held the title of fastest civilian aircraft (although Gulfstream is working to usurp that spot with its G650, scheduled to start deliveries in 2012). If you have the freedom to fly unrestricted direct, four hours is plenty of time to reach New York from Los Angeles in the X. The cabin’s stand-up center aisle stretches almost 24 feet, and each seat reclines fully. Starting in 2011, the jets will be delivered with a new five-panel Honeywell Primus Elite avionics system, plus upgraded cabin amenities such as inputs for MP3 players, touchscreen control panels, and improved stereo sound.
