Ferrari was born and bred from Formula One. The new Handling GT Evolution (or HGTE) package for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano further exemplifies the company’s quest for performance-minded perfection in every model. GTB is short for Gran Turismo Berlinetta (or “grand touring coupe”), but the car is blessed with the Italian brand’s range-topping 6-liter V-12 engine and also named after its factory racetrack, Fiorano. To dispel any uncertainty surrounding the Ferrari 599’s place in the prancing-horse stable, the HGTE package ($30,095) is designed to deliver a sportier character and a more dynamic driving experience. This modification includes stiffer springs, a rear anti-roll bar, recalibrated shock-absorber settings, a lower ride height, and a louder exhaust note, while the car’s visual enhancements feature 20-inch split-rim wheels, a matte black rear diffuser, two-tone Alcantara, and carbon-fiber interior trim. Pros: Arguably the best GT on the planet. Cons: It’s not the prettiest prancing pony in Ferrari’s stable.
